    A former SKC, Navy Supply Corps Officer, or anyone with extensive Navy supply support experience would be a good candidate for this position supporting the NAVFAC Sealift Support Program Office (SSPO) - the Navy office in charge of providing life cycle support for a number of new systems including the Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS), MPF Utility boats, Mobile Boat Hoist (Travelift) Cranes and other sealift related projects. Will work out of our customer's Washington Navy Yard office helping the Navy manage life cycle logistics for these amphibious programs. Also will help manage the MPF ship Tables of Allowance for the SEABEEs and Marines and may work with Amphibious Construction Battalions (ACBs) One and Two.

    The best fit would be a Mid to Senior Level Logistician with experience in the following: Naval or Marine Corp (amphibious) Logistics; Seabee experience (e. g. with the Naval Construction Force or Amphibious Construction Battalions); Tech Manuals, Supply Support, ICAPS (Integrated Computer-Aided Provisioning System); Navy parts including Provisioning and Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD); CDMDOA; working with Tables of Allowance (TOAs), Allowance Parts Lists, and COSALs (Coordinated Onboard Shipboard Allowance Lists).

    Computer expertise very valuable. Familiarity with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint especially helpful. CDMDOA, Shipmain and MicroSnap experience also helpful.

    Job Description:

    The Navy Project Officer will provide program management support to the Navy Expeditionary Program Office (NEPO) Expeditionary Readiness and Logistics (ERL) division assisting with managing U.S. Navy expeditionary equipment/systems from acquisition, through life cycle support, and disposal. This high visibility position is at the Washington Navy Yard.

    Duties include analysis of war fighter requirements, identification of equipment needed to support the mission, pricing of required equipment/systems, development of expeditionary equipment packages for submission to OPNAV for approval, and drafting of acquisition execution and buy plans. Will work extensively with equipment subject matter experts/commodity managers, other Echelon II system commands, Echelon III field activities as well as type commanders, plus have frequent interface with Fleet units, OPNAV staff and other DoD agencies.

    Will also apply expert practices and procedures within the discipline, provide technical recommendations to staff, provide professional findings of technical analysis in the form of reports/presentations, and execute complex technical tasks. Will provide financial and program management analysis to working groups and/or Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Will use analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations is required. Will apply pertinent laws, regulations, policies and precedent, which affect the use of program and related resources.

    Candidate will work extensively with the expeditionary Navy activities (e.g. SeaBees, Naval Beach Groups) as well as with United States Marines and Military Sealift Command to establish proper logistics support for these systems. Position will require research, study, and review on areas related to both acquisition and life-cycle management of various equipment and systems used in support of expeditionary warfare, amphibious operations, and logistics-over-the-short (LOTS) missions.

    REQUIRED:
    Degree in Science, Engineering or Business or a minimum of 12 years of experience in DoD program management or logistics support

    The Senior Logistician will take the lead in developing and implementing acquisition and life cycle logistics support strategies for this equipment which is used in support of expeditionary warfare, amphibious operations, and logistics-over-the-short (LOTS) missions. Duties will also include acquisition planning and logistics policy development. Will also work with the POM, Tables of Allowances (TOAs), ABFCView, and buy plans to materially support NECC and Navy Beach Group units.

    Requirements:
